7 Things to Watch Today That Aren’t Fashion Shows:



Maybe you’re already sick of watching runway shows? Or maybe not. It’s only the second day of New York Fashion Week. But maybe you’re far away or fashion fatigued or care less about the shows than the dust gathering on your potted plants. I, personally, am a little delirious and don’t know what I’m typing right now (maybe you already guessed that). All the more reason to queue up some INTERNET VIDEOS. As in, little baby movies that require nothing more than a tippy tap of the finger and a few minutes of your attention. Nothing more, nothing less. These are good ones, please trust me!

1 & 2! Ariana Grande and Jimmy Fallon play the best friend game, plus she performs:

Ariana Grande was on The Tonight Show Thursday and, in addition to looking cute with bangs, she played “the best friend game” with  Jimmy Fallon. It’s kind of like the newlywed game (REMEMBER THAT SHOW) but with besties, obviously. It’s funny because they 100% are not besties and basically know nothing about each other?

She also performed “Side to Side,” which you can watch above, and sounded ridiculous(ly good) as per us(ual). Maybe there’s a speaker in her mouth and she’s not actually singing. Just throwing that conspiracy theory out there.

3! The cutest music video ever about ~being yourself~



Have you heard of the Colombian band Bomba Estereo? I had not, but now I’m so glad I’ve been introduced. Because apparently they asked their fans to submit video ideas for their single “Soy Yo” (which is very popular A.K.A. I am out of the loop) and the above was born. It was shot in Brooklyn! And it’s about a little girl essentially saying “F*ck the h8rs” but in the most adorable way imaginable.

4! Harry Potter….as a ’90s sitcom



OMG. Comedy Central UK cut Harry Potter into a ’90s-style opening credits for a sitcom and it’s sooooooooo good. The drawn-out introduction of every character is so classic and special. Should we bring this back?

Fave part: “Introducing Dobby as himself.”

Okay! Amanda Knox! Remember her? Netflix is making a doc about her and they put out two trailers entitled “Believe Her” and “Suspect Her.” Both are perfectly positioned for you to do just what they tell you to which I find SPOOKY. It’s out September 30th!

We’ve talked about self compassion before! We also just talked about The School of Life, which I’m obsessed with. The above is a meditation on why it’s so important to show ourselves compassion. It’s a necessary counterpart to the drive the makes us want more by telling us we aren’t enough.
